a design exhibition
Throughout the history of Sputnik, CCA’s in-house undergraduate design studio, there have been instances where student designers have faltered because they doubted both their abilities and work, questioning whether what they were making was acceptable and real design.
This exhibition will break down the paradigm that an invisible wall exists between real design and school design by presenting the work of designers who were in Sputnik in the past as well as work they have made more recently within the past five years as professional designers.
This will be a student-designed exhibition for student designers. It’s an exhibition intended to encourage students to believe in their creative visions, and to realize that ultimately, design is design.

Exhibition opens at California College of the Arts SF on February 23.
Reception on March 1 at 7pm with a panel discussion including Eric Heiman, Brooke Johnson, and others.
Refreshments will be provided.
